parkster7831 - omg… I love Noah’s expression! ;o) It’s awesome that you guys are seeing the positive in the negative (too much snow) and using that opp. to witness (shoveling your neighbor’s driveway). I admire your heart~ Happy New Year!

SingingMom - Good thing we filled up both of our cars beforehand.

Not that you are going to get to drive them once they get snowed in…..

My kids rode lots of laundry baskets when they were little.

gizi62 - noah is so goofy. hah.

xminniex - WOW! hahaha hmm i dont know tommy, kinda hard to tell if he likes presents or not from the humongous smile he has on his face… :D

cabby97 - i love bob the builder man… so cute!! Wow lots of snow!!

ginachi - man, noah’s expression is so awesome! =) your kids are so cute! wow..that’s a lot of snow… very nice of you to shovel your neighbor’s driveway… =)

dangermouse16 - uuuuhhhh…… the two blizzards within a week, and a.i. & melo are making colorado less and less attractive. haha.

ShutterbugTim - What fun pictures! Looks like your kids had so much fun. We just returned from Mammoth, so pictures of snow look so familiar!

tommyandstaci - ryc dangermouse: if you ever end up here, we’ll buy you guys uggs for jen and ne-bok for you chris! haha.

elainechung - tommy…you are such a nice neighbor!  i would move next door to you just so you can shovel our snow.  hahah  :)

tommyandstaci - ryc elaine: well lance, our neighbor was nice enough to come over and help me shovel my driveway from the first storm. so it’s the least i can do for them. btw, i voted your christmas card #1 in 2006. i love it. we got like 10 cards including yours today. haha. major delay b/c of the storm.

Susan_Cackle_Kim - noah has such an infectious smile! i love it!

love2laugh - Merry Christmas! Emilee looks so cute in her dress. I love the holiday pictures!

ShutterbugTim - Precious! Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas!

xminniex - really???? i didnt know costco had it. how much did u get it for??? what did the bundle come with? is it the 20 gb or 60?? all the stores i called said theyre gonna get shipments “some time in january” and none of them take waitlists, except for sonystyle stores, and theyre capped of course at like, 350… aghh

fishfood - i can’t believe she’s 7 months already..i luv baby tights!

xminniex - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! that’s SO good. i’m so mad now. hahaha =_= gosh…..!! i don’t like the bundles they have at a few online sites, it’s only with the 20gb and a bunch of stupid games, etc and ends up being like $900!!! oy vey. yeah, it IS too bad i can’t just drive over to ur place and buy it from u..!

ShutterbugTim - ryc, this time around, I actually told my “assistants” that I’d pay them $. I can just imagine how much they’ll be asking by the time they’re in junior high school! Thanks for your encouraging comments all the time. They are much appreciated. Lighting is such a fascinating subject. These days I find myself exploring different set ups as well as the different moods that light can create. It seems like such a never-ending learning curve!

I really like this series of photos…the snow makes for such a beautiful backdrop, and I liked the way you set up your shots in relation to the sun. Keep up the great work, Tommy!

kennyahn - These are really beautiful Tommy. You’re a very good photographer and I enjoy your stuff a lot man. I hope you, Staci, Noah, and Emilee have a beautiful and blessed Christmas. Talk to you soon. As for my minivan, I just got a regular EX with no navigation or DVD. I ain’t rich like you. karis912 - Look at that grown-up pose in the first picture of Noah! cute!  and the disney on ice looks like so much fun!  gonna try to go next time they are in town…

doodoostain - dude you change teams everytime you move!

tommyandstaci - I usually root for the local team since I don’t have a favorite team.

love2laugh - never seen disney on ice, but your picture story made me feel like i was there! thanks :) Noah is too cute!

parkster7831 - I heard on the news about the major storm in Colorado and I thought about the you guys~ stay warm! Also, thanks for sharing the links about Christmas. I’ve been pondering the same questions so it should be a good read/research~

ShutterbugTim - That’s awesome that the two of you got to go to the show! What a memorable time for Noah. And about AI, yeah, it should be lots of fun to watch…especially after mello gets back.

yrnehkim - I think it’s great that you’re thinking about Christmas. I think that it’s so easy for people in U.S. to get swept away by marketing tactics of corporate America. I say, as far as Christmas tradition is concerned, anything that draws you to closer to God for Christmas, do it. If it keeps you from truly appreciating God’s love for you, then get rid of it. Enjoy your White Christmas!

gizi62 - i totally thought of you when i heard about iverson.

someone ELSE’S bday is on 12/25 too!! haha.

tommyandstaci - ryc gizi: why do you think i’m trying to get rid of Christmas during this time frame?! haha. So I can get all the glory alone. i feel like lightening coming from heaven. :)

kWisTiNe - i just want to BITE him!

SingingMom - We do celebrate Christmas, and I decorate. But I don’t do all the cutsie decor in the yard, though, that a lot of people use. We don’t believe Jesus was actually born in December – we believe it was probably in the spring. But we can celebrate no matter what time of year it is. We are aware of the origins of the Christmas celebrations, and the tree, but I think we, as Christians, have given new meanings to this time of year. But as Christians, we must keep Jesus in the celebration, and not lose Him in the gift-giving frenzy.

We don’t celebrate Halloween, because eventhough getting candy from your neighbors is generally harmless, there truly is evil that goes on at Halloween. People just aren’t aware of it.

kennyahn - such a bandwagon guy! you’re lucky you have cute kids; otherwise, i’d be dissing you hard.

tommyandstaci - ryc kennyahn: please~ i’ve been cheering for the nuggets the day i got here. whether AI or not, i would have been rooting for the nuggets. if you can get rid of kobe, i’ll cheer for the lakers.

hangbokhanpatti - Oh, I’m so glad that you and Noah got to have a boys night/day together! So cute! I’m also excited because we’re going to see that same show in L.A. in January! I can’t wait to see the look on the boys faces… they LOVE Disneyland so it’d be neat to see Disneyland come to us and no waiting in line. heehee.
And about Christmas, I ditto the singingMom’s entry. Thanks for your beautiful Christmas card/picture. :)

ShutterbugTim - I saw on the news last night about the crazy snow there, and I thought of you. Nice b&w of Emilee!

elainechung - YIPPEE for Staci!  Tommy…you are one lucky man.  Cute kids and a sexy wife (after 2kids).  haha…  good luck w/ the snow ramp!  i need to practice…  :)

ourfamilyupdate - Beautiful pictures. Thanks for also sharing the links to Christmas articles… looking forward to reading them with Chris. Hope you’re staying warm. -teri

doodoostain - wow, thanks for the snow update . . . i don’t have to watch the colorado news now.

kennyahn - hey, if you wanna write more stuff, have another post. what’s up with all these edits? as for moving out to Denver, are you trying to encourage us or discourage us? Kayla thinks maybe we should re-think the option of moving to Colorado now.

BigJkool87 - Wow you had a nice father and son time. Just stopping by to say hi.

tommyandstaci - ryc kennyahn: don’t worry. this happens once every 3-5 years. it’s kind of fun actually. our neighbors all came together to help each other out. it was actually a very touching moment! now we made these roads to the main road using each other’s snow blower. see? not a big deal. :)

Susan_Cackle_Kim - looks like noah had a blast….he’s so adorable! and i’m glad that you’re taking the time to really reflect…i think it’s important to understand why we do the things we do rather than just follow tradition just b/c that’s how we’ve always done it. god bless and have a great christmas!!!

fishfood - i want to take ryan to disney on ice.. ryan luvs mickey too.. merry christmas you guys!

pOpcOrn_player - yay… you have experienced a true Colorado snow storm..

bonster2 - You guys should move back to CA!  …we don’t have to deal with shoveling snow~

tommyandstaci - ryc bonster2: very true but it was kind of cool. our neighbors got together and helped each other out. :) we dont have to shovel in CA but we have to shovel for money in CA! haha.

kyleescrazymommy - Noah is going to love being at our house. The mall that is down the street has a double decker carousel.

kanipark - man… you guys are great parents… looks like noah and emilee are very lucky to have parents like you :)

It’s never too easy when someone you love is hurting really bad. It’s even harder when your wife or your kids are the ones hurting. I know it’s not easy to conceive a child. For some people, it’s been a very long and tiring process (we’re always praying for you guys by the way). For others,...

kennyahn - Hey Tommy, Kayla and I will pray for her this week. My heart is heavy reading this post. But I know God is good and He knows what He’s doing.

parkster7831 - ditto to Kenny’s comment… we will be praying~

yrnehkim - God knows the pain of losing a Child…

Christmas is wonderful because that Child is given to all those who seek Him. I hope and pray that your friend will find comfort and healing in Him.

jamieyunkim - I will be praying for her.  Although I don’t know who that sister is, but our God knows.

KEAC - I will certainly pray. My heart goes out to them and you.

eunahlee - i’ll keep her in my prayers…

ourfamilyupdate - What a coincidence. Last week, I was going to post a question on our site about… “How does one comfort a couple who had a miscarriage? What do you say?”  b/c someone close to us also went through it last week. Though I can’t imagine the grief… praise God that our Heavenly Father… the giver & taker of all things does understand and I pray your friends will cry with Him for He is faithful to comfort the downcast. -Teri

dangermouse16 - it’s a crappy thing to have to go through once.  one of the most f—ed up things ever.  can’t imagine twice in one year.  gosh that sucks.  whoever she is my prayers go out to her & her husband.

SingingMom - I’m so sorry you have had to go through this, and I’m sorry for your friend. I don’t know her, but will certainly be praying for her, because God knows her.

We lost our 2nd child, our first daughter, shortly after birth, because she was born with a Group B Strep infection. That was devastating. But we would not have made it if not for God holding us up. And even then, healing seemed like it would never happen. Rachel Elizabeth would be 23 in February. Two years later, we gave our daughter, Bethany Rachel, her sister’s name for her middle name.

One of my sisters miscarried her first child at the very same time that we lost Rachel. It was a double blow for our family.

I wonder if our children have met each other in Heaven yet? :-) As our pastor would say, “They’ve been promoted.”

Susan_Cackle_Kim - there are no words to comfort anyone in grief, whatever the cause of the grief. only god, prayer, and your presence can help.

elainechung - i can’t even imagine what they are going through…  we will keep her & her husband in our prayers.  thx for sharing~

fishfood - i can’t even imagine how sad and painful this must be but as you said truly god is in control.. i believe that with all my heart

ourfamilyupdate - ryc: sorry if i was unclear… i didn’t mean to convey the msg that all the traditions of Christmas are “biblical” per se… but that there is, however, a story/history behind why ppl once decided to do or create what they did whether it be hanging a wreath or decorating a tree or “the twelve days of christmas”, etc. there is a story of Jesus behind most of these traditions. tho’ we dont’ know what’s “biblical” we figure there’s no harm in participating in these traditions if it’s going to bring Jesus into the light of it all. it can only be a blessing and a great reminder to all of us about who we celebrate this season. hope that helps at least a little. -teri

lastoriafoto - I’m sorry I’m responding to this post so late… it just caught my eye today. I can tell you that Bob and I also lost our 1st pregnancy to a miscarriage and it was devastating. We went through a roller coaster of emotions. It’s never easy but over time the pain eases as you and Stacey know. We send our thoughts and prayers to your sister and her family. ~ Dawn
